The 2011 Northern Territory Climate Change Symposium was held between the 12th and 14th October in Darwin.  The event aimed to build knowledge and understanding of climate change and to identify the challenges and strategies needed for a changing environment.

Providing the opportunity to explore the impacts of these changes – and investigating practical strategies for adaptation at home, at work and at play - this symposium explored the potential consequences for individuals, public, private and not-for-profit organisations.

The event was well-attended over the three days and well-received, with people from all walks of life having the opportunity to hear from some of Australia’s leading climate change experts and to meet with local people showcasing northern Australian expertise, products and services.

Watch the ABC interview with Professor Andrew Campbell from RIEL.
