Charles Darwin University's Research Institute for the Environment and Livelihoods will host a regional conference on Conservation Biology in Oceania.

The conference theme will be 'People and Conservation in Land and Sea Country'.

Coordinated by The Society for Conservation Biology, Oceania 2012 is expected to draw over 650 conservation scientists from Australia, New Zealand, Polynesia, Micronesia and Melanesia to Darwin.
