This is a joint project with Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW), Universitas Nusa Cendana (UNDANA) and Univerisitas Gadjah Mada (UGM).
Staff and students from all four universities travel to Linamnutu Village, West Timor, Indonesia to investigate rural development, food, water and land tenure issues with the support of village residents and leadership. The work is undertaken in a multi-linguistic, cross-cultural, cross-disciplinary sectoral setting.
The project is positioned at the research-teaching nexus €“ it has both educational objectives and is a pilot research project in rural development.
The field intensive is held every 2 years, and the next one is currently being planned for June 2013.
