NAWFA Project 1 will focus on the adaptive water management planning cycle and examine practical ways to improve the recognition and incorporation of social and cultural values at each plan stage in a number of northern Australian water plan areas. This will require an analysis of planning porcesses that have successfully/unsuccessfully incorporated cultural and social values extending work completed by TRaCK on Collaborative Water Planning 2007-2009. Particular attention will be given to Indigenous values in at least one plan area.
