Carry out research into factors affecting the establishment of a sustainable native vegetation community on the Bing Bong dredge spoil material including site preparation species selections seed treatments seeding protocols vegetations development and spoil amelioration. The nominated PhD student will carry out the research investigating rehabilitation of the saline dredge materials which will include assessment of rehabilitation techniques the development of the vegetation and root zone and the sustainability of the vegetation.
